Irbesartan Sandoz – Irbesartan uses, dose and side effects
Irbesartan Sandoz belongs to a group of medicines called angiotensin -II receptor antagonists. Angiotensin II is a substance, which is produced in the body, and which binds to certain structures ( receptors ) in the blood vessels and causes them to constrict. This leads to increased blood pressure. Irbesartan Sandoz prevents the binding of angiotensin II to these receptors, which causes the blood vessels to relax and the blood pressure to drop. Irbesartan Sandoz delays the deterioration of renal function in patients with high blood pressure and type 2 diabetes.
