What tribe is and what it is used for

tribe contains three B vitamins ( folic acid, vitamin B 12, and vitamin B 6 ). B vitamins are important for maintaining the cells’ natural functions.

tribe should be used in the prevention of symptomatic deficiency of vitamin B 6, vitamin B 12, and folic acid in the case of insufficient food intake or poor absorption of nutrients, especially in the elderly.

What you need to know before using TrioBe

Do not use TrioBe

  • if you are allergic to the active substances or any other ingredient of this medicine (listed in section 6).
  • for preventive purposes, if you have given birth to a child with spina bifida, a higher dose of folic acid than in TrioBe is needed.

Warnings and precautions

Talk to your doctor or pharmacist before using tribe.

tribe is not intended for the treatment of symptomatic deficiency of the included vitamins. Effective treatment of various types of anemia ( blood deficiency ) may require treatment with injections of vitamin B 12.

tribe should not be used by patients who have had surgery to remove a large part of the small intestine.

Other medicines and TrioBe

Tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking, have recently taken, or might take any other medicines.

The treatment effect can be affected if this medicine is taken at the same time as certain other medicines, e.g. certain medicines against epilepsy such as phenobarbital and phenytoin as well as medicines that reduce the effect of folic acid, e.g. methotrexate, trimethoprim, and pyrimethamine. Treating doctors, therefore, need to be aware of such concomitant medication.

Pregnancy and breastfeeding

tribe can be used during pregnancy and breastfeeding.

Driving ability and use of machinery

tribe is not expected to affect your ability to react, for example when driving a car or using machinery.

tribe contains sodium

This medicine contains less than 1 mmol (23 mg) of sodium per tablet, i.e. it is almost “sodium-free”.

How to use tribe

Always take this medicine as directed by your doctor or pharmacist. Ask your doctor or pharmacist if you are unsure.

The dose is determined by the doctor, who adjusts it individually for you.

The recommended dose is one tablet daily. The tablet can be chewed or swallowed whole.

If you have taken too much TrioBe

If you have ingested too much medicine or if, for example, a child has accidentally ingested the medicine, contact a doctor or hospital for an assessment of the risk and advice.

If you forget to take tribe

Do not take a double dose to make up for a missed tablet.

Possible side effects

Like all medicines, this medicine can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them.

At the recommended dosage, the risk of side effects is low.

Rare (affects less than 1 in 1,000 patients): Acne-like rash. Allergic skin reactions such as hivesitching, and skin redness.

Has been reported (occurring in an unknown number of users):  Severe allergic reaction ( anaphylactic reaction )

How to store TrioBe

Keep this medicine out of the sight and reach of children.

Store at a maximum of 30 °C. Store in the original packaging (moisture sensitive). Use before the expiry date stated on the packaging. The expiration date is the last day of the specified month.

The medicine must not be thrown into the drain or among the household waste. Ask the pharmacist how to dispose of medicines that are no longer used. These measures will help to protect the environment.

Empty packaging can be recycled via the packaging collection. The jar and lid are sorted as hard plastic packaging.

  • The active substances are vitamin B 12 0.5 mg, folic acid 0.8 mg, and vitamin B 6  3 mg.
  • Other ingredients are calcium hydrogen phosphate dihydrate, microcrystalline cellulose, sodium starch glycolate, magnesium stearate, and anhydrous colloidal silicon dioxide.

Appearance and package sizes of the medicine

tribe is a round, slightly yellow, dotted tablet with a diameter of 10 mm.

Pack sizes: 60, 100, and 250 tablets in plastic jars with screw caps.

Not all pack sizes may be marketed.
