Multibic – Potassium haemodialysis fluid / Haemofiltration fluid uses, dose and side effects
Multibic 2 mmol / l potassium is a solution used to remove residues from the body in people with kidney disease during treatment with continuous kidney replacement therapy. It is used in patients with kidney damage but also for the treatment of poisoning. It is the amount of potassium (a salt) in your blood that determines the type of solution you receive. Your doctor will check your potassium levels regularly.

Duosol Potassium-free is a haemofiltration fluid. It is used for patients with acute renal failure, ie. as the kidneys can no longer eliminate waste products from the blood. Continuous haemofiltration is a method of eliminating the waste products that are normally excreted via the kidneys into the urine. The fluid corrects the fluid balance and replaces salts ( electrolytes ) lost in connection with the treatment.
