What LHP is and what it is used for

LHP is an antiseptic cream that keeps bacteria clean in small, superficial wounds e.g. abrasions, abrasions, broken cuticles, self-cracks, cold sores, and insect bites. This counteracts an infection in the wound.

What you need to know before using LHP

Do not use LHP

– if you are allergic to hydrogen peroxide or any of the other ingredients of this medicine (listed in section 6).

Warnings and cautions

Avoid contact with eyes.

Other drugs and LHP

Avoid concomitant treatment with products containing iodine or potassium permanganate. Hydrogen peroxide in LHP is broken down by these substances and LHP then becomes ineffective.

The effect of concomitant treatment with other topical drugs has not been studied.

In case of contact with a doctor or other healthcare professional, remember to mention that you are using or have recently used this over-the-counter medicine.

Pregnancy and breastfeeding

Cream one can be used during pregnancy.

Cream one can be used during breastfeeding, but should not be applied to the nipples in direct connection with breastfeeding.

Driving and using machines

LHP has no or negligible effect on the ability to drive or operate machinery.

LHP contains propylene glycol

Propylene glycol may cause skin irritation.

How to use LHP

Always use this medicine exactly as described in this leaflet or as your doctor, pharmacist or nurse has told you. If you are not sure, talk to your doctor, pharmacist, or nurse.

Apply a thin layer of LHP cream to the wound 1-2 times daily. You can cover the wound with a compressor bandage if needed. Cream one can be easily washed off with water only.

The treatment time should not exceed 2 weeks. If the wound has not started to heal during that time, you should consult a nurse or doctor.

Possible side effects

Like all medicines, this medicine can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them.

The cream can cause short-term burning.

How to store LHP

Do not store above 25 ° C.

Keep this medicine out of the sight and reach of children.

Do not use this medicine after the expiry date which is stated on the tube. The expiration date is the last day of the specified month.

Medicines should not be disposed of via wastewater or household waste. Ask your pharmacist how to dispose of medicines no longer required. These measures will help to protect the environment.
