1. What E-vimin is and what it is used for

E-vimin is used in the absence of vitamin E. Lack of vitamin E may, for example, be due to the absorption of nutrients in the intestine is not sufficient ( malabsorption ).

Vitamin E is an antioxidant that protects cell membranes.

In E-vimin, vitamin E has been transferred from a fat-soluble to a water-soluble form. In this way, good absorption of vitamin E is obtained in the body.

2. What you need to know before taking E-vimin

Do not take E-vimin

  • if you are allergic to dl-alpha-tocopheryl acetate ( vitamin E) or any of the other ingredients of this medicine (listed in section 6).

Pregnancy and breastfeeding

If you are pregnant or breast-feeding, think you may be pregnant, or are planning to have a baby, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking this medicine.

No known risks when used during pregnancy.

Vitamin E passes into breast milk but probably does not affect breastfed babies. However, talk to your doctor about more than the temporary use of E-vimin during breast-feeding.

Driving and using machines

No known effect on the ability to drive or perform precision work.

3. How to take E-vimin

Always take this medicine exactly as described in this leaflet or as your doctor or pharmacist has told you. Ask your doctor or pharmacist if you are unsure.

Dosage instructions

The usual dose for adults is 1 capsule 1-3 times daily.

Doctors may have prescribed another dose.

The capsules should be swallowed whole.

If you take more E-vimin then you should

If you have ingested too much medicine or if e.g. If a child has ingested the medicine by mistake, always contact a doctor, hospital, or the Poison Information Center for risk assessment and advice.

5. How to store E-vimin

Keep this medicine out of the sight and reach of children.

Do not use this medicine after the expiry date which is stated on the carton.

Medicines should not be disposed of via wastewater or household waste. Ask your pharmacist how to dispose of medicines no longer required. These measures will help to protect the environment.
