1. What Addex-Ammonium Chloride is and what it is used for
Addex-Ammonium chloride is a concentrated solution which, after dilution, is given by healthcare professionals as a drip into a blood vessel ( intravenous infusion ). It belongs to a group of medicines called electrolyte solutions. Addex-Ammonium chloride is used when the pH of the blood is elevated (so-called metabolic alkalosis ), which can be the result of persistent vomiting, for example.
2. What you need to know before you use Addex-Ammonium Chloride
Do not use Addex-Ammonium Chloride
- if you have severe liver damage.
Warnings and cautions
Talk to your doctor or nurse before using Addex-Ammonium Chloride if you have:
- hepatic impairment
- renal impairment.

No known risks at recommended doses . If you are pregnant or breast-feeding, think you may be pregnant or are planning to have a baby, ask your doctor for advice before using this medicine.
Driving and using machines
Addex-Ammonium chloride has no known effects on the ability to drive and use machines.
How to take Addex-Ammonium Chloride
You will receive this medicine by a drip into a blood vessel ( intravenous infusion ). The infusion rate and the amount of solution you receive depend on your condition. Your doctor will decide what is the right dose for you.

5. How to store Addex-Ammonium Chloride
Keep this medicine out of the sight and reach of children.
Do not use this medicine after the expiry date which is stated on the label after EXP. The expiration date is the last day of the specified month.
