What Lidocaine-Fluorescein Bausch and Lomb is and what it is used for

Lidocaine – Fluorescein Bausch & Lomb is used in local anesthesia and staining of the eye for the measurement of eye pressure in glaucoma ( glaucoma ).

Do not use Lidocaine-Fluorescein Bausch and Lomb

  • if you are allergic to lidocaine hydrochloride fluorescein sodium or any of the other ingredients of this medicine (listed in section 6).
  • If you have hypersensitivity to local anesthetics other than lidocaine .

Warnings and cautions

The locally anesthetized eye should be protected from contact with foreign particles due to impaired sensation. This especially applies to older people in whom the anesthesia can work for more than 30 minutes.

How to use Lidocaine-Fluorescein Bausch and Lomb

Lidocaine – Fluorescein Bausch & Lomb is given by healthcare professionals.

The recommended dose is 1-2 drops in each eye.

Possible side effects

Like all medicines, this medicine can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them.

Very common (may affect more than 1 user in 10):

Temporary burning after installation, watery eyes.

Common (may affect up to 1 in 10 people):

Damage to the cornea with repeated use.

Rare (may affect up to 1 in 10,000 people):

Dizziness, low heart rate, low blood pressure, blurred vision, tremors

Very rare (may affect up to 1 in 10,000 people):

An allergic reaction that may manifest itself as inflammation of the eye, swelling of the eye, hives, rash

An anaphylactic reaction may manifest itself as itching, swollen lips, nausea, diarrhea, chest pain, irregular heartbeat, and difficulty breathing.

How to store Lidocaine-Fluorescein Bausch and Lomb

Keep this medicine out of the sight and reach of children.

Do not store above 25 ° C. Do not freeze. Store the single-dose containers in the outer carton. Sensitive to light.

Do not use this medicine after the expiry date which is stated on the carton after EXP. The expiration date is the last day of the specified month.

Medicines should not be disposed of via wastewater or household waste. Ask your pharmacist how to dispose of medicines no longer required. These measures will help to protect the environment.
