Infusion fluid, solution

What Vaminolac is and what it is used for

Vaminolac is a nutritional solution for children that is given via a drip into a vein ( intravenous infusion ). Various contexts are given when, for some reason, you cannot eat with your mouth.

The active substances found in Vaminolac may also be approved to treat other diseases not mentioned in this product information. Ask your doctor, pharmacist, or another healthcare professional if you have any further questions, and always follow their instructions.

What you need to know before using Vaminolac

Do not use Vaminolac

  • if you (or your child) are allergic to the active substances or any other ingredient of this medicine (listed in section 6).
  • if you (or your child) have a congenital disorder in the breakdown of amino acids.
  • if you (or your child) have liver damage.
  • if you (or your child) have severe urine poisoning and there are no dialysis options.

When used to treat newborns and children under 2 years of age, the solution (in bags and administration sets) should be protected from light exposure until the administration is completed. If Vaminolac is exposed to ambient light, especially after the addition of trace elements and/or vitamins, peroxides and other degradation products are formed, which can be reduced if the product is protected from light exposure.

Other medicines and Vaminolac

Tell your doctor or pharmacist if you (or your child) are using, have recently used, or might be using other medicines.

There are no known interactions between Vaminolac and other drugs.
