What Lincoln is and what it is used for

Sincon is a tear substitute, which is dropped into the eye when it causes problems in the form of e.g. burning and gravel feeling. It acts as the natural tear fluid and moisturizes and lubricates the eye so that the discomfort disappears. It is used to relieve the symptoms of dry eyes.

Your doctor may have prescribed other uses that are not mentioned in this product information. Ask your doctor, pharmacist, or another healthcare professional if you have any further questions, and always follow their instructions.

What you need to know before using Sincon

Do not use Sincon

  • if you are allergic to any of the ingredients of this medicine (listed in section 6).

With heavy use and extremely dry eyes, white deposits of polyvinyl alcohol can form on the eyelids. This is completely harmless and can be removed with a damp handkerchief or similar.

Pregnancy and breastfeeding

Pregnancy

She is not expected to pose a risk to the fetus at the recommended dosage.

Breast-feeding

No expected effects on the breastfeeding baby.

Driving and using machines

No known risks.

How to use Sincon

Always take this medicine exactly as described in this leaflet or as your doctor or pharmacist has told you. Ask your doctor or pharmacist if you are unsure.

If needed, the recommended dose is 1 drop in the eye (s).

Sincon can be used by people with contact lenses.

Instructions for use

  1. Open the envelope at the line mark and pull out a single-dose container.
  2. Close the envelope by folding the edge.
  3. Shake the contents of the bottom of the single-dose container.
  4. Open the single-dose container by turning the wing.
  5. Drop 1 drop into the eye/eyes and then discard the single-dose container even if it is not empty. The contents of a single-dose container are sufficient for both eyes. Always take a new single-dose container at each dosing time. To make it easier to drip the eye drops into the eye, you can use drip support that is available at the pharmacy.

If you use more Sincon than you should

Overdose does not involve any risks.

Possible side effects

Common (may affect more than 1 in 100 people ): Transient burning in the eye.

How to store Sincon

Keep out of sight and reach of children.

Do not use this medicine after the expiry date which is stated on the carton after EXP. The expiration date is the last day of the specified month. Single-dose containers in an opened inner envelope are stable for three months. Opened single-dose containers are used immediately and any remaining solution is discarded.

Medicines should not be disposed of via wastewater or household waste. Ask your pharmacist how to dispose of medicines no longer required. These measures will help to protect the environment.
