What Is Nezepro And What Nezepro Used For?
Nezepro used for short-term treatment of nasal congestion in colds for adults and children from 10 years. Nezepro has an immediate decongestant effect, which reduces nasal congestion and thus facilitates breathing. The effect comes within a few minutes.
Oxymetazoline hydrochloride contained in Nezepro may also be approved for treating other conditions not mentioned in this product information. Nezepro also contains dexpanthenol, which has a moisturizing effect on the nasal mucosa.

What You Need To Know Before You Use Nezepro?
Do Not Use Nezepro
- If you are allergic to oximetazoline hydrochloride or any of the other ingredients of this medicine (listed in section 6).
Children And Young People
Do not use it for children under 10 years.
Other Medicines And Nezepro
Tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking, have recently taken, or might take other medicines.
Pregnancy, Breastfeeding And Fertility
If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, think you may be pregnant, or plan to have a baby, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking this medicine.
Pregnancy
No adverse effects in the fetus have been demonstrated.
Breast-feeding
As no studies have been performed, it is not known whether Nezepro passes into breast milk.
Driving And Using Machines:
No studies have been performed, but there is no evidence that this medicine would affect the ability to drive or use machines.
How To Use Nezepro?
- Use for children and adolescents.
- Always take this medicine as described in this leaflet or as your doctor or pharmacist has told you. Ask your doctor or pharmacist if you are unsure.
- The recommended dose is:
- Adults and children from 10 years: 2 sprays in each nostril 2-3 times daily.
- Nezepro should not be used for more than 10 consecutive days. When used for a long time, Nezepro can cause nasal congestion.
- Instructions for use
The first time you use the spray, you must charge the pump. Hold the bottle upright and spray 5 times in the air until there is an even shower. If the pump has not been used long, it must be recharged with 3 sprays in the air.
- Sniff out the nose.
- Remove the protective hood.
- Hold the spray bottle as shown in the picture.
- Insert the tip into one nostril and pump the doses you will take (according to the dosing instructions above). Do the same in the other nostril.
- Replace the protective cap. It can be difficult to empty the bottle, but it is filled with a little more than 7.5 ml. This ensures that you get the specified amount.
If You Use More Nezepro Than You Should:
If you have ingested too much medicine or if, e.g., a child ingested the medicine by mistake, contact a doctor or hospital for risk assessment and advice.
If You Forget To Use Nezepro:
Do not take a double dose to make up for a forgotten dose.
Ask your doctor or pharmacist if you have any further questions about using this product.
Possible Nezepro Side Effects:
This medicine can cause side effects like all medicines, although not everybody gets them.
Uncommon (may affect up to 1 in 100 people):
- Sneezing
- Dry mouth and throat
Rare (may affect up to 1 in 1,000 people):
- Anxiety
- Irritability
- Local irritation of the nose
- Sleep disorders in children
- When used for a long time, this medicine can cause nasal congestion.

How To Store Nezepro?
- Keep this medicine out of sight and reach of children.
- Store with the protective cap on.
- Store at a maximum of 25 degrees C.
- Do not use this medicine after the expiry date stated on the carton and bottle after EXP. The expiration date is the last day of the specified month.
Medicines should not be disposed of via wastewater or household waste. Ask your pharmacist how to dispose of medicines that are no longer required. These measures will help to protect the environment.

Content Declaration
- The active substance is oximetazoline hydrochloride.1 ml contains:Nezepro nasal spray 0.5 mg / ml: 0.5 mg oximetazoline hydrochloride.
- The other ingredients are dexpantenol, disodium edetate (E386), sodium dihydrogen phosphate dihydrate (E339), disodium phosphate dihydrate (E339), sodium chloride and purified water.
Nezepro nasal spray is free of preservatives. Therefore, for technical reasons, the bottle is not filled.
