What Lyngonia Is And What It Is Used For

Lyngonia is a traditional herbal medicine used to relieve symptoms of recurrent, mild, lower urinary tract infections in women, such as burning sensation when urinating and/or the need to urinate more often than usual. Lyngonia should only be used after a doctor has determined that there is no other serious illness.

The indications for traditional herbal medicine are based solely on the experience of long-term use.

What You Need To Know Before Using Lyngonia

  • If you are allergic to melon leaves or any of the other ingredients of this medicine (listed in section 6),
  • If you have kidney disease.

Warnings And Cautions

Contact your healthcare provider if you experience any problems or symptoms such as fever, difficulty emptying your bladder, cramping pain in the urinary tract, or blood in your urine while using this medicine.

Lyngonia is not recommended for men. Contact a doctor for diagnosis and treatment.

This medicine may cause the urine to turn green/brown.

Children And Young People

This medicine is not recommended for children and adolescents under 18 years of age. Contact a doctor for diagnosis and treatment.

Other Medicines And Lyngonia

No effects of concomitant use of other drugs have been reported.

When contacting a doctor or other healthcare professional, remember to tell them that you are taking or have recently taken Lyngonia.

Lyngonia With Food, Drink And Alcohol

No effects of concomitant consumption of food, drink, or alcohol has been reported.

Pregnancy, breastfeeding and fertility

If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, think you may be pregnant, or are planning to have a baby, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking this medicine.

The use of this medicine during pregnancy and lactation is not recommended as safety has not been established. The potential effect of the drug on fertility has not been studied.

Driving And Using Machines

Lyngonia has no or negligible effect on the ability to drive and use machines.

You are responsible for assessing whether you are fit to drive a motor vehicle or perform work that requires sharpened attention. One of the factors that can affect your ability in these respects is the use of drugs due to their effects and/or side effects.

How To Use Lyngonia

Always take this medicine exactly as described in this leaflet or as your doctor or other healthcare professional has told you. If you are not sure, talk to your doctor, healthcare professional, or pharmacist.

Recommended Lyngonia dose

  • Women (adults and the elderly): 2 tablets 2-4 times daily.
  • Take the tablets with a glass of water.
  • Lyngonia should not be used for more than 1 week. If the symptoms persist for more than 4 days or worsen while you are using this medicine, consult a doctor or other healthcare professional.

Possible Lyngonia Millet Extract Side Effects

Like all medicines, this medicine can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them.

  • Stomach and intestinal disorders such as
    • Nausea
    • Abdominal pain
    • Vomiting have been reported. The frequency is not known.

How To Store Lyngonia

  • Keep this medicine out of the sight and reach of children. Do not store above 25 ° C.
  • Do not use this medicine after the expiration date; the expiration date is after “EXP” on cardboard and blister map. The expiration date is the last day of the specified month.

  • The active substance is extract of melon leaves.
    One tablet contains 361–509 mg of extract (as dry extract) from Arctostaphylos uva-ursi (L.) Spreng, folium (millet leaf), corresponding to 105 mg of hydroquinone derivatives, calculated as anhydrous arbutin.
    When making a tablet, 903-2291 mg of dried melon leaf is needed.
    Extractant: water
  • The other ingredients are: maltodextrin, microcrystalline cellulose, lactose monohydrate , talc, sodium starch glycolate (type A), anhydrous colloidal silica, magnesium stearate, macrogol 3350, titanium dioxide (E171), poly (vinyl alcohol), red / yellow / black iron oxide (E2).

  • Reddish-brown, oblong (19 x 9 mm), film-coated tablets.
  • The tablets are in blister cards.
  • Lyngonia is available in packs of 30 and 60 film-coated tablets. Not all pack sizes may be marketed.
