1. What Galieve Mint Is And What It Is Used For
Galieve Mint belongs to a group of medicines called “Reflux Inhibitors“. Galieve peppermint forms a protective mass on top of the stomach contents for up to 4 hours which prevents acidic stomach contents from being pushed up the esophagus and causing pain and discomfort.
Galieve Mint is used for acid reflux, Heartburn, and indigestion (in connection with reflux), for example after meals, during pregnancy, or in patients with symptoms related to reflux esophagitis ( inflammation of the esophagus).
You must talk to a doctor if you do not feel better or if you feel worse after 7 days.
2. What You Need To Know Before Using Galieve Mint
Do Not Use Galieve Mint
If you are allergic (hypersensitive) to any of the ingredients of Galieve Mint, breathing difficulties and rash have occurred, but very rarely (see section 6).
Take Special Care With Galieve Mint
It contains sodium (143 mg per 10 ml) and calcium (64 mg per 10 ml). The maximum recommended daily dose of one of these medicines contains 1140 mg of sodium (found in table salt). This corresponds to 57% of the maximum recommended daily dose of sodium for adults.
Gallery Mint is for short-term use only, unless your doctor recommends otherwise.
Tell your pharmacist or doctor if you need Galieve peppermint daily for a long time, especially if you have been prescribed a low-salt (sodium) diet.
- Tell your doctor if you have or have had a kidney or heart disease, as certain salts can affect these diseases.
If symptoms persist after 7 days, you must consult your doctor.
Other Drugs And Galieve Peppermint
Galieve Mint may affect the effectiveness of other oral medicines. They should therefore be taken at least 2 hours apart.
Tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking or have recently taken any other medicines, including medicines obtained without a prescription.
Pregnancy And Breastfeeding
It can be used during pregnancy and lactation.
Important Information About Some Of The Ingredients Of Galieve Mint
This medicine contains methyl (E218) and propyl parahydroxybenzoate (E216) which may cause allergic reactions (possibly delayed).
3. How To Use Galieve Peppermint English
Oral use. Shake well before use.
Adults and children over 12 years: 10 – 20 ml after meals and at bedtime (maximum four times a day).
Children under 12 years of age: Only according to a doctor’s prescription.
If You Take More Galieve Mint Than You Should
If you have taken too much medicine, you may feel bloated and experience some abdominal discomfort. It is unlikely that this will cause further inconvenience to you. Consult a doctor if this does not go away.
If You Forget To Take Galieve Mint
Do not take a double dose to make up for a forgotten dose, just take the next dose as usual.
4. Possible Galieve Side Effects
Like all medicines, this medicine can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them.
In very rare cases (less than 1 in 10,000 users),
- Rash
- Itching
- Difficulty breathing
- Dizziness
- Swelling of the face, lips, tongue, or throat

5. How To Store Galieve Mint
- Keep out of sight and reach of children.
- Do not use this medicine after the expiry date which is stated on the carton. The expiration date is the last day of the specified month.
- Do not store above 30 ° C. Do not freeze. Store in a cold place.
- Make sure that the seal on the lid is unbroken the first time you start using the product.
- The medicine should not be disposed of via wastewater or household waste. Ask your pharmacist how to dispose of medicines no longer required. These measures will help to protect the environment.
