1. What Buventol Easyhaler Is And What Is It Used For
Buventol Easyhaler is an inhaler that contains the active substance salbutamol. Salbutamol works by dilating the trachea and making it easier to breathe. Buventol Easyhaler is used for relieving symptoms of asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD).
Buventol Easyhaler is used for adults and children over 6 years.
Salbutamol contained in Buventol Easyhaler may also be approved for the treatment of other conditions not mentioned in this product information. Ask your doctor, pharmacist, or another healthcare professional if you have any further questions, and always follow their instructions.
2. What You Need To Know Before Using Buventol Easyhaler
Do Not Use Buventol Inhaler
If you are allergic to salbutamol or any of the other ingredients of this medicine (listed in section 6), in this case, lactose (which contains small amounts of milk protein).
Warnings And Cautions
Talk to your doctor before using Buventol Easyhaler 200 mg if you have or have had any of the following conditions:
- Cardiovascular disease
- Angina
- Increased thyroid function
- Diabetes
- Low potassium levels in the blood ( hypokalaemia ).
If you have low potassium levels in the blood ( hypokalemia ), this condition can deteriorate if Buventol Easyhaler used with diuretics, steroids you or some other medicines for asthma (xanthine). In such cases, contact your doctor for advice.
If your asthma symptoms increase or if the effect of Buventol inhaler worsens, contact your doctor. Repeated inhalation that does not have an effect on severe asthma attacks means that another treatment is needed.
Other Medicines And Buventol Easyhaler
Tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking, have recently taken, or might take any other medicines.
Some heart medicines ( beta-blockers ) may reduce the effect of Buventol Easyhaler. Therefore, consult your doctor before using other medicines at the same time.
Pregnancy, Breastfeeding, And Fertility
If you are pregnant or breast-feeding, think you may be pregnant or are planning to have a baby, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking this medicine.
No adverse effects on the fetus have been demonstrated when using Buventol Easyhaler during pregnancy.
It is unknown whether salbutamol passes into breast milk. Therefore consult a doctor before use during breast-feeding.
Driving And Using Machines
Buventol Easyhaler has no known effects on the ability to drive or use machines.
You are responsible for assessing whether you are fit to drive a motor vehicle or perform work that requires increased attention. Buventol Easyhaler Contains Excipients
If you have been told by your doctor that you have an intolerance to some sugars, contact your doctor before taking this medicine. The amount of lactose in this medicine does not normally cause problems in people who are lactose intolerant (do not tolerate lactose ).
3. How To Use Buventol Easyhaler

Always use buventol easyhaler 200 mg exactly as your doctor has told you. Ask your doctor or pharmacist if you are unsure.
The recommended dose for adults and children over 6 years is 100-200 micrograms 1-4 times a day. If you get asthma symptoms, further inhalation may be taken when they occur.
The effect of inhalation is felt after a few minutes.
The medicine accompanies the inhalation into the trachea as you inhale through the Easyhaler according to the instructions for use. Children should always be supervised by an adult when using Easyhaler.
It is important that the entire dose is inhaled properly. When you feel a mild, sweet taste in your mouth, you can be sure that you have ingested a dose.

If you have taken too much of a dose, you may experience
- Headaches
- Palpitations
- Muscle cramps
- Restlessness
- Tremors
- Dizziness
- Nausea
- Dry mouth
- Fatigue

4. Possible Buventol Easyhaler English Side Effects
Like all medicines, this medicine can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them.
The side effects caused by normal inhaled doses are mild and usually disappear with continued treatment.
Common (may affect up to 1 in 10 people):
- Tremors and palpitations, especially at the beginning of treatment
Uncommon (may affect up to 1 in 100 people):
- Headache
- A hypersensitivity reaction is e.g.
- Itching
- Rash
- Swelling
Rare (may affect up to 1 in 1,000 people):
- Bronchospasm ( bronchospasm )
- Mouth and throat irritation
- Cough
- Low potassium values
- Muscle cramps
- Restlessness and dizziness
- Overactivity
- Irregular heartbeat
Very rare (may affect up to 1 in 10,000 people):
- Chest pain (as a sign of angina). If this happens, talk to your doctor as soon as possible. However, do not interrupt the treatment on your own.

5. How To Store Buventol Easyhaler English
- Keep this medicine out of the sight and reach of children.
- Do not store above 25 ° C. After opening the foil pouch, store the inhaler dry. Moisture sensitive.
- Do not use this medicine after the expiry date which is stated on the carton. The expiration date is the last day of the specified month. After the foil bag is opened, the shelf life is 6 months.
- Medicines should not be disposed of via wastewater or household waste. Ask your pharmacist how to dispose of medicines no longer required. These measures will help to protect the environment.
