What Levodopa / Carbidopa / Entacapone Rivopharm is and what it is used for

Levodopa / Carbidopa / Entacapone Rivopharm contains three active substances ( levodopa, carbidopa, and entacapone) in a film-coated tablet. Levodopa / Carbidopa / Entacapone Rivopharm is used for treating Parkinson’s disease.

Parkinson’s disease is due to low levels of the substance dopamine in the brain. Levodopa increases the amount of dopamine and therefore relieves the symptoms of Parkinson’s disease. Carbidopa and entacapone improve the effect of levodopa on Parkinson’s disease.

Levodopa/carbidopa/entacapone contained in Levodopa / Carbidopa / Entacapone Rivopharm may also be approved for the treatment of other conditions not mentioned in this product information. Ask your doctor, pharmacist, or other healthcare professional if you have any further questions, and always follow their instructions.
