Isosorbide mononitrate Mylan contains isosorbide mononitrate and belongs to a group of medicines called nitrates. This type of medicine works by dilating the blood vessels around the heart and thus facilitates the blood supply to the heart and other parts of the body. Isosorbide mononitrate Mylan is a prolonged-release tablet that provides a slow release of the drug in the body.

Isosorbide mononitrate Mylan is used in the prophylaxis of angina pectoris. Isosorbide mononitrate Mylan, on the other hand, is not intended for the treatment of sudden chest pain ( acute angina). If you have an acute attack of angina, another medicine should be used. Do not stop your treatment with Isosorbide Mononitrate Mylan without first consulting your doctor or pharmacist.

Isosorbide mononitrate contained in Isosorbide mononitrate Mylan may also be authorized for the treatment of other conditions not mentioned in this leaflet. Ask your doctor, pharmacist, or other healthcare professional if you have any further questions, and always follow their instructions.
