Neovletta 28 is a combination pill that contains low amounts of two different female sex hormones. Neovletta 28 consists of 21 tablets with active ingredients ( hormones ) and 7 hormone-free tablets (last row on the tablet map). Each hormone tablet contains both ethinyl estradiol (an estrogen ) and levonorgestrel (a progestogen ). Due to the low hormone levels, Neovletta 28 is one of the low-dose birth control pills. All hormone tablets in the pack contain the same hormone at a constant dose , the contraceptive pill is therefore called monophasic.
