What does Vibranord contain?

One ml of oral suspension contains :

Active substance: doxycycline hyclate equivalent to 10 mg anhydrous doxycycline.

Other ingredients: sorbitol liquid (crystallizing), glycerol, magnesium aluminum silicate, calcium chloride hexahydrate, sodium hydroxide,

sodium metabisulfite, saccharin sodium, povidone, simethicone emulsion, preservative propyl parahydroxybenzoate (E216), butyl parahydroxybenzoate,

flavors raspberry, appealing (raspberry flavor).

How does Vibranord work?

Vibrator is an antibiotic that prevents the growth of bacteria.

What is Vibranord used for?

Vibrator is used to treat pneumonia, and acute exacerbation of chronic bronchial catarrh ( bronchitis ).

Chlamydia infections of the urinary and genital organs.

Lyme infection after the tick bite.

In the case of acute sinusitis in patients who are hypersensitive to pencil liner or when treatment with pencil liner has not produced the desired effect.

When should Vibranord not be used?

Do not use Vibranord if you are hypersensitive to doxycycline or tetracycline or any of the other ingredients.

Things to think about before and when Vibranord is used.

Talk to your doctor before using Vibranord if you have myasthenia gravis (a disease that weakens the muscles).

Children under the age of 8 should only be treated with Vibranord in very severe disease states because this type of medicine ( tetracyclines ) can affect the tooth enamel so that it becomes discolored or develops incompletely due to deposition in the growing skeleton.

Avoid sunbathing, even in solariums during the treatment period and for at least 5 days after the end of the treatment due to the risk of allergic skin reactions.

Contact a doctor if you experience prolonged and/or troublesome diarrhea.

Vibrator oral suspension contains sorbitol. If you have an intolerance to certain sugars, you should consult your doctor before taking this medicine.

Vibrator oral suspension contains sodium metabisulphite, which in rare cases can cause serious hypersensitivity reactions and spasms of the airways.

Pregnancy

Risk of harmful effects to the fetus. Therefore, do not use Vibranord during pregnancy other than on a specific prescription from a doctor.

Breast-feeding

Vibrator passes into breast milk but probably does not affect children who are breastfed. However, consult a doctor if you more than occasionally use of VibraNord during breastfeeding.

Ability to drive or use machinery

There is no indication that driving ability or using machines is affected by Vibrator.

What should you avoid while using this medicine?

Tell your doctor if you are taking or have recently taken any other medicines, even over-the-counter ones, as the treatment effect may be affected if Vibranord is taken at the same time as other medicines

The effect of Vibranord is reduced if you take Vibranord at the same time as medicines containing calcium ( calcium ). These medications should therefore be taken at least 3 hours apart.

The treatment with Vibranord can also affect or be affected by certain other medicines: certain medicines for the treatment of acid stomach and heartburn (antacids), iron medicines, medicines for viral infections containing didanosine, medicines for high blood pressure containing quinapril, medicines for epilepsy containing phenobarbital or phenytoin or carbamazepine, medicines for tuberculosis such as

contains rifampicin,

The effect of birth control pills can be reduced by treatment with Vibrator.

If you are also using anticoagulants (medicines that reduce the blood’s ability to clot), you should talk to your doctor before using Vibrator, as the dose of anticoagulants may need to be lowered.

The effect of Vibranord can be affected by the simultaneous consumption of alcohol.

Dosage

The dose is determined by the doctor who adjusts it individually for you.

The usual dose for adults and children over 12 years of age: is 20 ml of oral suspension on the first day and then 10 ml of oral suspension daily. In case of a more severe infection, the dose can be increased to 20 ml of oral suspension daily during the entire treatment.

Children 8-12 years: oral suspension, dose one is adapted to your child’s body weight (see also What to consider before and when Vibranord is used).

Already after a couple of days of treatment with Vibrator, you can notice improvement, but you must continue the treatment according to the doctor’s instructions. Otherwise, there is a risk of the infection returning.

Take the medicine with food to prevent stomach discomfort.

Suspension one should be shaken well!

What happens if you take too much?

If you have ingested too much medicine, always contact a doctor or hospital.

Side effects

All medicines can cause unwanted effects, so-called side effects .

Common (affects more tan 1 in 100 users):

nausea, vomiting and diarrhoea. To reduce,e thediarrheaffects , you can take Vibranord with food.

Uncommon (affects less than 1 in 100 users):

Skin and hives , hypersensitivity to snlight (see also the section “What to think about before and when Vibranord is used”).

Rare (affects less than 1 in 1,000 users):

Redness of the skin, skin and mucous membrane effects of various degrees of severity, reduced number of blood platelets ( thrombocytopenia ), colon inflammation, increased pressure in the head (which can cause symptoms in the form of headache or reduced visual acuity ), nails that come off, hypersensitivity reaction, etc.

Fungal overgrowth in the vagina or oral cavity (e.g. “cod”) can sometimes occur due to disturbances in the normal bacterial flora.

In the event of a rash, fever, difficulty breathing and/or swelling of the f,ace, a hospital or doctor should be contacted and the treatment discontinued.

Contact your doctor as soon as possible if any of the following symptoms occur:

  • Jarisch-Herxheimer reaction causing fever, chills, hecauses muscle pain and rash. These symptoms, are usually self-limiting. This occurs shortly after starting doxycycline treatment offornfection caused by spirochetes such as Lyme disease .

Storage and durability

Used before the expiry date on the packaging.

For environmental and safety reasons, leftover or outdated medicine from the public must be handed over to pharmacies for disposal.
