What Does The Propavan Medicine Contain?

1 tablet contains as an active substance propiomazine 25 mg (propiomazine maleate).

The other constituents are lactose (anhydrous) 116 mg, magnesium stearate, gelatin, talc, potato starch, macrogol 400, hypromellose, opaque spray, and titanium dioxide (dye E171).

How Does Work?

Propavan 25 mg tablet has a pronounced central depressant and calming effect. Propiomazine 25 mg is not addictive.

What Is Propavan 25mg Uses For?

This medicine is as a sleeping pill for various forms of sleep disorders.

Things To Consider Before And When Using

Those with hepatic or renal impairment should consult a physician before starting treatment. Doctors should also be contacted in case of prolonged insomnia as it may then be due to a physical or mental illness

With prolonged use, dry mouth can lead to the risk of damage to teeth and oral mucosa. Careful oral hygiene is therefore important: Teeth should be thoroughly cleaned with fluoride toothpaste twice a day. 

This tablet contains lactose, which is a sugar. If your doctor has told you that you have an intolerance to some sugars, contact your doctor before taking this medicine.

Rising age generally leads to an increased sensitivity to drugs. 

Propavan 25 mg English should therefore be used with caution in elderly patients, as they may be more sensitive to the effects of tablets such as daytime fatigue, muscle effects, anxiety, or restlessness.

Pregnancy

No adverse effects on the fetus have been demonstrated.

Breast-feeding

It is unknown whether propiomazine passes into breast milk.

Consult a physician for more than temporary use during breastfeeding.

Traffic Warning

During treatment with this tablet, the ability to react can be reduced, which should be borne in mind when sharp attention is required, for example when driving a car and precision work.
