What You Need To Know Before Taking Lunixen

Do Not Take Lunixen

  • If you are allergic to turnip root or any of the other ingredients of Lunixen (listed in section 6).

Children

Lunixen is not recommended for use in children under 12 years of age due to a lack of data.

Other Medicines And Lunixen

In case of contact with a doctor or other healthcare professional, remember to tell them that you are taking or have recently taken this over-the-counter medicine.

The use of Lunixen English is not recommended if you are taking other sedatives.

Pregnancy And Breastfeeding

If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, think you may be pregnant, or are planning to have a baby, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking Lunixen.

The use of Lunixen during pregnancy and lactation is not recommended as there are insufficient data to rule out harmful effects.

Driving And Using Machines:

Lunixen English may impair the ability to drive or use machines. If you feel affected, do not drive or use machines.

You are responsible for assessing whether you are fit to drive a motor vehicle or perform work that requires sharpened attention. One of the factors that can affect your ability in these respects is the use of drugs due to their effects and/or side effects. Descriptions of these effects and side effects can be found in other sections. Read all the information in this leaflet for guidance. If you are not sure, talk to your doctor or other healthcare professional.

How To Take it

Dosage Instructions

  • Always take Lunixen English exactly as described in this leaflet or as your doctor advised. Ask your doctor or pharmacist if you are unsure.
  • The recommended dose for adults, the elderly, and adolescents over the age of 12 is:
    • For mild anxiety: 1 tablet no more than 3 times daily.
  • In case of sleep disturbances: 1 tablet ½-1 hour before bedtime. If necessary, take 1 tablet earlier in the evening.
  • The maximum daily dose is 4 tablets per day.
  • The tablets should be swallowed whole with a little water. Do not chew the tablets.

Lunixen English should be taken regularly for 2-4 weeks to achieve the best effect. Consult a physician or other healthcare professional if symptoms persist or worsen after 2 weeks of regular use.

Use In Children

it is not recommended for children under 12 years of age.

If You Take More Than You Should

Overdose of this drug can cause symptoms such as

If You Forget To Take Lunixen

Do not take a double dose to make up for a forgotten dose.

If You Stop Taking Lunixen

No side effects are expected if you stop taking this medicine. However, the symptoms that caused you to take this medicine may return.

Possible Lunixen Side Effects

Like all medicines, this medicine can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them.

Preparations that contain taproot can cause gastrointestinal problems such as

  • Nausea
  • Stomach cramps

How To Store

  • Keep this medicine out of the sight and reach of children.
  • Do not use this medicine after the expiry date which is stated on the carton after “EXP”. The expiration date is the last day of the specified month.
  • Store in the original package. Moisture sensitive.
  • No special temperature instructions.
  • Medicines should not be disposed of via wastewater or household waste. Ask your pharmacist how to dispose of medicines no longer required. These measures will help to protect the environment.

  • The active substance is a dry extract of root from the taproot ( Valeriana officinalis L.). 1 tablet contains 500 mg of dry extract from turnip root (equivalent to 2 g – 3 g turnip root).
  • Extractant: Ethanol 60% (v / v).

  • Light blue, oblong, iconvex film-coated tablets (18 x 7 mm) packed in blister cards of PVC / PE / PVDC / aluminum.
  • Pack sizes: Blister packs of 28, 56 tablets, or single-dose blisters 100 x 1 tablet. Not all pack sizes may be marketed.
