1. WHAT CHISAN IS AND WHAT IT IS USED FOR

Christian is a traditional herbal medicine used as an adaptogen in case of impaired performance such as fatigue and weakness.

The indications for traditional herbal medicine are based solely on the experience of long-term use.

What is an adaptogen? An adaptogen is considered to increase well-being and strength by strengthening the body mentally and/or physically when exposed to stress. Chisan contains ADAPT-232, an extract combination consisting of Schisandra, Russian root, and roseroot, which is considered to have adaptogenic properties and strengthen energy.

2. WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW BEFORE TAKING CHISAN

Do not take Chisan

  • if you are allergic (hypersensitive) to butterfly vine, Russian root, roseroot, or any of the other ingredients of Chisan.
  • if you have high blood pressure

Children and young people

Chisan is not recommended for children under 12 years.

Other drugs and Chisan

The effect of concomitant use of other drugs has not been studied.

When in contact with a doctor or other healthcare professional, remember to tell them that you are taking or have recently taken this over-the-counter medicine.

Pregnancy, breastfeeding, and fertility

Chisan is not recommended during pregnancy and lactation, as there is a lack of experience.

The potential effect of the drug on fertility has not been studied.

Driving and using machines

The drug has no or negligible effect on the ability to drive and use machines.

You are responsible for assessing whether you are fit to drive a motor vehicle or perform work that requires increased attention. One of the factors that can affect your ability in these respects is the use of drugs due to their effects and/or side effects. Descriptions of these effects and side effects can be found in other sections of this leaflet. Talk to your doctor if you are unsure.

Important information about some of the ingredients of Chisan

Chisan contains methyl parahydroxybenzoate (E218) and propyl parahydroxybenzoate (E216) which may cause an allergic reaction (possibly delayed).

Chisan contains 12.85% (v / v) ethanol (alcohol), ie up to 1.5 g per dose, corresponding to 37.5 ml strong beer or 15 ml wine. Harmful to people suffering from alcoholism. Attention should be paid to pregnant or lactating women, children, and high-risk groups such as patients with liver disease or epilepsy.

Chisan contains dark syrup. If you have been told by your doctor that you have an intolerance to some sugars, contact your doctor before taking this medicine. Chisan can be harmful to the teeth due to the content of dark syrup.

3. HOW TO TAKE CHISAN

Adults and children over 12 years:

15 ml 1-2 times daily if necessary. Shake the bottle well before each use.

According to the traditional use, one can take Chisan either 1 or 2 times a day. Chisan can be used single days or continuously for a longer period, however, a maximum of 2 months per treatment occasion.

You should consult a doctor or other healthcare professional if symptoms worsen or do not improve within 2 weeks.

Chisan is not recommended for children under 12 years.

4. POSSIBLE SIDE EFFECTS

Like all medicines, Chisan can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them.

Difficulty sleeping, irritability, palpitations, and headaches may occur. The frequency is unknown.

If you get any side effects, talk to your doctor, pharmacist, or nurse. This includes any possible side effects not listed in this leaflet. You can also report side effects directly to the Medical Products Agency, www.lakemedelsverket.se. By reporting side effects, you can help increase drug safety information. 

5. HOW TO STORE CHISAN

Keep this medicine out of the sight and reach of children.

Do not store above 25 ° C.

The opened bottle is stored for a maximum of 6 months in a refrigerator (2ºC-8ºC).

Use Chisan before the expiry date which is stated on the bottle. The expiration date is the last day of the specified month.

Medicines should not be disposed of via wastewater or household waste. Ask your pharmacist how to dispose of medicines no longer required. These measures will help to protect the environment.

2.6 mg extract (as a thick extract) of Russian root ( Eleutherococcus senticosus(Rupr. et Maxim) Maxim) (17-30: 1).

3 mg extract (as a thick extract) of roseroot ( Rhodiola rosea L.) (2.5-5.0: 1).

Excipients:

Purified water, dark syrup, ethanol (100 mg/ml), glycerol, caramel aroma, polysorbate 80, methyl parahydroxybenzoate (E218), citric acid, rosemary extract, propyl parahydroxybenzoate (E216), ginger extract, potassium sorbate.

What the medicine looks like and the contents of the pack

Chisan is a brown, opaque liquid.

The chisan is packed in a 100, 200, 300, or 500 ml glass bottle with a drip insert, screw cap, and measuring cup.

Not all pack sizes may be marketed.
