What Acetylcysteine ​​Mylan is and what it is used for

Acetylcysteine ​​Mylan dissolves tough mucus so that it becomes thinner and thus easier to cough up. Acetylcysteine ​​is used for prolonged tracheal problems with viscous mucus ( chronic bronchitis ).

What you need to know before using Acetylcysteine ​​Mylan

Do not use Acetylcysteine ​​Mylan:

  • if you are allergic to acetylcysteine ​​or any of the other ingredients of this medicine (listed in section 6).

Warnings and cautions

Tell your doctor if you have had asthma and/or previous bronchospasm before using Acetylcysteine ​​Mylan.

Other medicines and Acetylcysteine ​​Mylan

Tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking or have recently taken any other medicines, including medicines obtained without a prescription.

Pregnancy, breastfeeding, and fertility

If you are pregnant or breast-feeding, think you may be pregnant or are planning to have a baby, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking this medicine.

Experience with use during pregnancy is limited. Talk to your doctor before taking Acetylcysteine ​​Mylan during pregnancy.

Driving and using machines

Acetylcysteine ​​Mylan does not affect the ability to drive or use machines.

Acetylcysteine ​​Mylan contains lactose, sorbitol, and sodium

Acetylcysteine ​​Mylan contains lactose and sorbitol. If you have been told by your doctor that you have an intolerance to some sugars, contact your doctor before taking this medicine.

This medicine contains 25 mg sorbitol per effervescent tablet.

This medicine contains 99.3 mg sodium (the main ingredient in table salt/table salt) per effervescent tablet. This corresponds to 5% of the maximum recommended daily intake of sodium for adults.

3. How to use Acetylcysteine ​​Mylan

The recommended dose is 1 effervescent tablet 2-3 times a day.

Effervescent tablet one is dissolved in 1 / 2-1 glass of water.

4. Possible side effects

Like all medicines, this medicine can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them.

  • – swelling of the face, tongue, or throat
  • – difficulty swallowing
  • – hives and difficulty breathing.

Common (affects more than 1 user in 100): Nausea, diarrhea.

Uncommon (affects less than 1 user in 100): Abdominal pain, bronchospasm.

Rare (affects less than 1 user in 1,000): Allergic swelling ( angioedema ), rash, pruritus, hives.

5. How to store Acetylcysteine ​​Mylan

Close the tube tightly. Moisture sensitive.

Keep this medicine out of the sight and reach of children.

Do not use this medicine after the expiry date which is stated on the carton after “Exp”. The expiration date is the last day of the specified month.
