This medicine contains 0.15 mmol (2.3 mg) sodium per ml. A vial with 5 ml containing 0.76 mmol (11.5 mg) of sodium and 25 ml containing 3.84 mmol (57.6 mg) sodium. This should be considered by patients on a low-salt diet.

Doxorubicin will be given to you under the supervision of a doctor who has experience in cancer treatment.

4. Possible side effects<\/h2>\n\n\n\n
Like all medicines, this medicine can cause side effects although not everybody gets them.

Tell your doctor immediately if you experience any of the following:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n- a stinging, burning redness, or swelling at the injection site. Such pain can occur if the drug leaks outside the blood vessel and injection should then be stopped<\/li>
- difficulty breathing, wheezing, swelling of the face lips, tongue or throat, difficulty swallowing, reddening of the skin, this may indicate a severe allergic reaction<\/li>
