Cyclocapron is a bleeding inhibitor. It contains tranexamic acid, which prevents the effect of the enzyme that dissolves clotted blood ( clot ). This leads to less blood loss and a faster healing process.

Cyclocapron is used for:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Heavy menstrual bleeding. Bleeding from the gastrointestinal tract, bleeding from the urinary tract, severe nosebleeds. Bleeding or increased risk of bleeding after surgery, especially in the bladder and lungs. After dental operations on people with an increased risk of bleeding.
<\/p>\n\n\n\n

2. What you need to know before taking Cyklokapron<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Do not take Cyclokapron<\/h2>\n\n\n\n
  • If you are being treated for a blood clot e.g. in the legs, lungs, or brain<\/li>
  • If you are being treated for cerebral hemorrhage<\/li>
  • If you have severe renal impairment<\/li>
  • If you have had seizures in the past<\/li>
  • If you are allergic to tranexamic acid or any of the other ingredients of this medicine (listed in section 6).<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n

    Warnings and cautions<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

    Talk to your doctor before taking Cyklokapron if you have any of the following:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    • Irregular periods<\/li>
    • Previously had a blood clot and if a blood clot has occurred in parents and\/or siblings<\/li>
    • Blood in the urine (between menstrual periods)<\/li>
