Control of your liver, kidney, and blood<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Before starting treatment with Colazid, you will be given a blood and urine test to check how well your kidneys and blood are working.<\/p>\n\n\n\n During treatment, your doctor may take blood and urine samples to check that your liver, kidneys, and blood are functioning properly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Colazid is not recommended for use in children.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking, have recently taken, or might take any other medicines. Swallow the capsules whole, with a glass of water if needed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The treatment can last for up to 12 weeks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Your doctor may also prescribe steroids to you while Colazide. Maintenance treatment to prevent relapse:<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n The recommended starting dose is 2 capsules twice daily (3 g daily) with or after a meal. Swallow the capsules whole, with a glass of water if needed.
