them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Tyverb is prescribed to be taken in combination with another cancer medicine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Tyverb is prescribed in&nbsp;<strong>combination with capecitabine<\/strong>&nbsp;for patients who have previously received treatment for advanced or metastatic breast cancer.&nbsp;The previous treatment of metastatic breast cancer must have included trastuzumab.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Tyverb is prescribed in&nbsp;<strong>combination with trastuzumab<\/strong>&nbsp;for patients who have hormone receptor-negative metastatic breast cancer and who have previously received other treatments for before taking Tyverb<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Do not take Tyverb<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>if you are allergic to lapatinib or any of the other ingredients of this medicine (listed in section 6).<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Be especially careful with Tyverb<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Your doctor will check that your heart is working normally<\/strong>&nbsp;before and during treatment with Tyverb.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Tell your doctor if you have any heart problems<\/strong>&nbsp;before you start taking class=\"wp-block-heading\">Other medicines and Tyverb<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking, have recently taken, or might take any other medicines.\u00a0<\/strong>This includes herbal remedies and other over-the-counter medicines that you bought.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><b>Your doctor must know<\/b>\u00a0if you are taking or have recently taken any of the following medicines.\u00a0Some medicines can affect how Tyverb works, or Tyverb can affect how other medicines work.\u00a0These medicines include certain medicines in the following groups:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>St. John&#8217;s wort\u00a0\u2013 a natural remedy for treating\u00a0<strong>depression<\/strong><\/li><li>erythromycin,\u00a0ketoconazole, itraconazole, posaconazole, voriconazole, rifabutin, rifampicin,\u00a0telithromycin\u00a0&#8211; medicines to treat\u00a0infection<\/li><li>ciclosporin \u2013 a medicine used to suppress the immune system, for example after organ transplants<\/li><li>ritonavir, saquinavir \u2013 medicines to treat\u00a0HIV infection<\/li><li>phenytoin\u00a0, carbamazepine \u2013 anticonvulsant drugs<\/li><li>cisapride \u2013 a medicine for certain indigestion<\/li><li>pimozide \u2013 a medicine for certain\u00a0mental illnesses<\/li><li>quinidine,\u00a0digoxin\u00a0\u2013 medicines for certain\u00a0<strong>heart problems<\/strong><\/li><li>repaglinide &#8211; a medicine used to treat\u00a0<strong>diabetes<\/strong><\/li><li><em>verapamil &#8211;<\/em>\u00a0a medicine to treat\u00a0<strong>high\u00a0blood pressure\u00a0<\/strong>or\u00a0<strong>angina<\/strong><\/li><li>nefazodone &#8211; a medicine used to treat\u00a0<strong>depression<\/strong><\/li><li>topotecan, paclitaxel, irinotecan, docetaxel &#8211; medicines for certain types of\u00a0<strong>cancer<\/strong><\/li><li>rosuvastatin \u2013 a medicine for\u00a0<strong>high cholesterol levels<\/strong><\/li><li>medicines that reduce the acidity of the stomach (for the treatment of\u00a0<strong>stomach ulcers<\/strong>\u00a0or\u00a0<strong>indigestion<\/strong>\u00a0).<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Tell your doctor<\/strong>&nbsp;if you are taking or have recently taken any of these.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Your doctor will review the medicines you are taking to make sure you are not taking anything that cannot be combined with Tyverb.&nbsp;Your doctor will then inform you of any options.<a><\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Tyverb with food and drink<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Do not drink grapefruit juice while being treated with Tyverb.&nbsp;It can affect the function of the medicine.<\/strong><a><\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Pregnancy and breastfeeding<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>The effect of Tyverb during pregnancy is not clear.\u00a0You should not use Tyverb if you are pregnant unless your\u00a0<\/strong><strong>doctor specifically recommends this.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong>Tell your doctor if you perform work that requires increased attention.&nbsp;Due to the possible&nbsp;side effects&nbsp;of Tyverb, your ability to drive or operate machinery may be affected.&nbsp;These&nbsp;side 1 mmol (23 mg)&nbsp;of sodium&nbsp;per tablet, i.e. it is almost &#8216;sodium-free&#8217;.<br><a><\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">How to take Tyverb<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Always take this medicine as directed by your doctor.&nbsp;<\/strong>Ask your doctor or pharmacist if you are unsure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The doctor determines the right&nbsp;dose&nbsp;of Tyverb depending on the type of breast cancer being treated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you have been prescribed Tyverb in\u00a0<strong>combination with capecitabine<\/strong>, the usual\u00a0dose is\u00a0<strong>5 Tyverb tablets a day<\/strong>\u00a0as\u00a0a single dose.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you have been prescribed Tyverb in\u00a0<strong>combination with trastuzumab<\/strong>, the usual\u00a0dose is\u00a0<strong>4 Tyverb tablets with water<\/strong>, one at a time, at the same time each day.<\/li><li>Take Tyverb either at least one hour before or at least one hour after a meal.\u00a0Take Tyverb at the same time about a meal class=\"wp-block-heading\">Possible side effects<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Like all medicines, this medicine can cause\u00a0side effects, although not everybody gets them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>A severe&nbsp;allergic reaction&nbsp;is a<\/strong>&nbsp;rare side effect (may affect up to 1 in 1,000 people) and can develop quickly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Symptoms may include:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>skin rash (including itchy and raised rash)<\/li><li>unusual wheezing\/wheezing or difficulty breathing<\/li><li>swollen eyelids, lips, or tongue<\/li><li>pain in muscles or joints<\/li><li>collapse or temporary loss of consciousness<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Tell your doctor immediately<\/strong>&nbsp;if you get any of these symptoms.&nbsp;Do not take any more weakness<\/li><li>indigestion<\/li><li>constipation<\/li><li>soreness\/sores in the mouth<\/li><li>stomach ache<\/li><li>sleep difficulties<\/li><li>back pain<\/li><li>pain in hands and feet<\/li><li>joint pain<\/li><li>a skin reaction on the palms of the hands or soles of the feet (such as tingling, numbness, pain, swelling, or\u00a0redness\u00a0)<\/li><li>cough, shortness of breath<\/li><li>headache<\/li><li>nosebleeds<\/li><li>hot flashes<\/li><li>unusual hair loss or thinning hair.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Tell your doctor<\/strong>&nbsp;if any of these&nbsp;side effects&nbsp;become severe or bothersome.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Common&nbsp;side effects&nbsp;(<\/strong>&nbsp;may affect up to 1 in 10 people)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>an effect on how your heart works.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>In most cases, this effect on your heart will not cause any symptoms.&nbsp;If you do experience symptoms linked to this side effect, these are likely to include irregular heartbeats and shortness of breath.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>liver problems which may cause\u00a0itching, yellow discoloration of the eyes or skin\u00a0(jaundice)\u00a0or dark urine, or pain or discomfort in the upper right part of the stomach<\/li><li>nail problems \u2013 such as a painful\u00a0infection\u00a0and swelling of the
