to lower the levels of total cholesterol in the blood, the &#8220;bad&#8221;\u00a0cholesterol\u00a0(\u00a0LDL\u00a0&#8211;\u00a0cholesterol\u00a0), and blood fats called\u00a0triglycerides.\u00a0Simvastatin\u00a0SUN also increases the levels of the &#8220;good&#8221;\u00a0cholesterol\u00a0(\u00a0HDL\u00a0&#8211;\u00a0cholesterol\u00a0).\u00a0Simvastatin\u00a0SUN belongs to a group of medicines called statins.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Cholesterol\u00a0is one of several fats found in your blood.\u00a0Your total cholesterol consists mainly\u00a0of\u00a0LDL\u00a0and\u00a0HDL\u00a0cholesterol.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>LDL\u00a0cholesterol\u00a0is often called the occurred.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The risk of muscle breakdown is greater with higher\u00a0doses\u00a0of\u00a0Simvastatin\u00a0SUN, especially for\u00a0an 80 mg\u00a0dose.\u00a0The risk of muscle people<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The safety and efficacy of&nbsp;Simvastatin&nbsp;SUN have been studied in boys 10 to 17 years of age and in girls who have been menstruating for at least one year (see section 3: How to use&nbsp;Simvastatin&nbsp;SUN).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>SimvastatinSUN has not been studied in children under 10 years of age.&nbsp;For further information, consult a doctor.<a><\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Other medicines and Simvastatin SUN<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Tell your doctor or pharmacist if you y taken, or might take any other medicines with any of the following active ingredients.\u00a0Taking\u00a0Simvastatin\u00a0SUN with any of the following medicines may increase the risk of muscle problems (some of these have already been listed in the sections above &#8220;Do not use\u00a0Simvastatin\u00a0SUN&#8221;).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong>If you need to take fusidic acid by mouth to treat a bacterial\u00a0infection<\/strong>, you will need to temporarily stop using this medicine.\u00a0Your doctor will tell you when it is safe to start taking\u00a0Simvastatin\u00a0SUN again.\u00a0Taking\u00a0Simvastatin\u00a0SUN with fusidic acid may in used in the treatment of complicated skin and soft tissue infections as well as\u00a0bacteremia\u00a0(presence of bacteria in the blood)).\u00a0The risk of\u00a0side effects\u00a0affecting the muscles may be higher when this medicine is taken during treatment with\u00a0simvastatin\u00a0(eg\u00a0Simvastatin\u00a0SUN).\u00a0Your doctor may decide to stop you from taking\u00a0Simvastatin\u00a0SUN for medicine to you that you are taking&nbsp;Simvastatin&nbsp;SUN.<a><\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Simvastatin SUN with food and drink<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Grapefruit juice contains one or more substances that can affect the body&#8217;s breakdown of certain drugs, including&nbsp;Simvastatin&nbsp;SUN.&nbsp;Intake of grapefruit juice should be avoided.<a><\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Pregnancy and breastfeeding<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, think you may be pregnant, or are planning to have a baby, ask your doctor or pharmacist told by your doctor that you have an intolerance to some sugars, contact your doctor before taking this medicine.<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">How to use Simvastatin SUN<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Your doctor will decide which\u00a0dose\u00a0is right for you depending on your symptoms, your current treatment, and your risk profile.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Always take&nbsp;Simvastatin&nbsp;SUN exactly as your doctor has told you.&nbsp;Ask your doctor or pharmacist if you are unsure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You should continue your cholesterol-lowering diet while you are taking&nbsp;Simvastatin&nbsp;SUN.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Dosage:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The recommended\u00a0dose\u00a0is\u00a0simvastatin\u00a05 mg, 10 mg, 20 mg, 40 mg, or 80 mg once daily.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Adults:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The most common starting dose is 10, 20, or in some cases 40 mg daily.\u00a0Your doctor may, after at least 4 weeks, need to adjust your\u00a0dose\u00a0to disease picture (including rash, joint problems, and effects on\u00a0blood cells\u00a0),<\/li><\/ul><\/li><li>inflammation\u00a0of the liver with the following symptoms: the yellowish color of the skin and eyes,\u00a0itching, dark-colored urine or pale stools, feeling of tiredness or weakness, loss of appetite, liver failure (very rare),<\/li><li>inflammation\u00a0of the pancreas, often with (drug-related lichenoid rash),<\/li><li>pain, tenderness, weakness, or muscle cramps, breakdown of muscles, muscle strain,<\/li><li>gynecomastia\u00a0(breast augmentation in men).<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The following&nbsp;side effects&nbsp;have also been reported, but the incidence cannot be determined with available information (no known frequency):<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul
