been prescribed Rosuvastatin Glenmark because:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>You have a\u00a0<strong>high cholesterol level<\/strong>.\u00a0This means that you have an increased\u00a0risk of having a heart attack\u00a0or\u00a0stroke.\u00a0Rosuvastatin Glenmark is used in adults, adolescents, and children from 6 years of age to treat high\u00a0cholesterol.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>You have been advised to take a statin because dietary changes and increased exercise were not enough to correct your cholesterol levels.\u00a0You should continue your cholesterol-lowering diet and exercise while taking Rosuvastatin Glenmark.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Or<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>You have other factors that an\u00a0injection.\u00a0The combination of fusidic acid and Rosuvastatin Glenmark can lead to serious muscle problems (\u00a0rhabdomyolysis\u00a0), see &#8220;Other medicines and Rosuvastatin Glenmark&#8221;.<\/li><li>if you are\u00a0over 70 years of age\u00a0(because your doctor must choose the starting dose of rosuvastatin that suits you).<\/li><li>if you suffer from\u00a0severe respiratory failure.<\/li><li>if you are of\u00a0Asian origin\u00a0(Japanese, Chinese, Philippines, Vietnamese, Korean, or Indian) your doctor will need to choose the starting dose of rosuvastatin pharmacist before taking any&nbsp;dose&nbsp;of Rosuvastatin Glenmark.<\/strong><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>In a small number of people, statins can affect the liver.\u00a0This is detected by a simple test that examines increased levels of liver enzymes in the blood.\u00a0For this reason<strong>, doctors will usually take this blood test<\/strong>\u00a0(liver function test) before and during treatment with Rosuvastatin Glenmark.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>During treatment with this medicine, your doctor will closely monitor you if you have\u00a0<strong>diabetes<\/strong>\u00a0or are at high risk for\u00a0diabetes.\u00a0You are more likely to get\u00a0diabetes\u00a0if you have high blood sugar and blood fat levels, are overweight, and have high\u00a0blood should not be given to children under 6 years of age.<\/li><li>If the patient is\u00a0under 18 years of age: Rosuvastatin Glenmark 40 mg tablet is not suitable for children and adolescents under 18 years of age.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Other medicines and Rosuvastatin Glenmark<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Tell your doctor or pharmacist if you have recently taken, or might take any other medicines.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Tell your doctor if you are taking any of the following medicines:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>cyclosporine (used for example in organ transplantation),<\/li><li>warfarin\u00a0, ticagrelor or clopidogrel (or other blood thinners),<\/li><li>fibrates (eg gemfibrozil, fenofibrate) or other cholesterol-lowering drugs (eg ezetimibe),<\/li><li>certain medicines for heartburn and acid reflux,<\/li><li>erythromycin (an\u00a0antibiotic\u00a0), fusidic acid (an\u00a0antibiotic\u00a0&#8211; see Warnings and Precautions),<\/li><li>birth control pills,<\/li><li>regorafenib (used to treat cancer),<\/li><li>darolutamide (used to treat cancer),<\/li><li>hormone replacement drugs,<\/li><li>any of the following medicines used to treat viral infections, including\u00a0HIV\u00a0or\u00a0hepatitis\u00a0C\u00a0infection, alone or in combination (see Warnings and Precautions): ritonavir, lopinavir, atazanavir, sofosbuvir, voxilaprevir, ombitasvir, paritaprevir, dasabuvir, velpatasvir, grasp, elbasvir, glekaprevir, pibrentasvir.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The effects of these medicines may be affected by Rosuvastatin Glenmark or they may affect the effect of Rosuvastatin Glenmark.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you have to take fusidic acid by mouth to treat a bacterial infection, you must temporarily stop taking this medicine.\u00a0Your doctor will tell you when it is safe to take Rosuvastatin Glenmark again.\u00a0The use of Rosuvastatin Glenmark in combination with fusidic acid may in rare cases lead to drive and use machines while taking Rosuvastatin Glenmark without affecting their ability.&nbsp;However, some people may feel dizzy during treatment with Rosuvastatin Glenmark.&nbsp;If you feel dizzy, consult your doctor before attempting to drive or use machines.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You are responsible for assessing whether you are fit to drive a motor vehicle or perform work that requires increased class=\"wp-block-heading\">Rosuvastatin Glenmark contains lactose.<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>If you have been told by your doctor that you have an intolerance to some sugars (&nbsp;lactose&nbsp;or milk sugar), contact your doctor before taking Rosuvastatin Glenmark.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Rosuvastatin Glenmark contains&nbsp;sodium<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This medicine contains less than 1 mmol (23 you.&nbsp;Ask your doctor or pharmacist if you are unsure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>The usual\u00a0dose\u00a0for adults<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>If you are taking Rosuvastatin Glenmark for high cholesterol:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Starting dose<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Your treatment with Rosuvastatin Glenmark should start with a\u00a0<strong>dose\u00a0of 5 mg or 10 mg<\/strong>, even if you have taken a higher\u00a0dose\u00a0of another statin before.\u00a0The choice of starting dose for you depends on:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>your cholesterol level<\/li><li>the risk level you have for having a heart attack or\u00a0stroke<\/li><li>if you have a factor that may make you more sensitive to any\u00a0side effects.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Ask your 10 mg, your doctor may decide to double this\u00a0dose\u00a0to 20 mg and then to 40 mg if necessary.\u00a0There will be four weeks between each dose adjustment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The maximum daily\u00a0dose\u00a0of Rosuvastatin Glenmark is 40 mg.\u00a0It is only for patients with high cholesterol levels and a high risk of heart attack or\u00a0stroke\u00a0whose cholesterol levels are not right&nbsp;dose&nbsp;of rosuvastatin for you.&nbsp;The maximum daily&nbsp;dose&nbsp;of rosuvastatin is 10 mg or 20 mg for children aged 6 to 17 years, depending on the underlying condition you are being treated for.&nbsp;Take a&nbsp;dose&nbsp;once a day.&nbsp;Rosuvastatin Glenmark&nbsp;<strong>40 mg<\/strong>&nbsp;tablet should&nbsp;<strong>not<\/strong>&nbsp;be used in your doctor or pharmacist.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Possible side effects<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Like all medicines, this medicine can cause\u00a0side effects, although not everybody gets them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You must be aware of what these\u00a0side effects\u00a0may be.\u00a0They are usually mild and disappear after a short time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Stop taking Rosuvastatin Glenmark and seek medical help immediately<\/strong>&nbsp;if you get any of the following allergic reactions:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>difficulty breathing, with or without swelling of the face, lips, tongue, and\/or throat<\/li><li>swelling of the face, lips, tongue, and\/or throat that may cause difficulty swallowing<\/li><li>severe skin itching (with raised lumps).<\/li><li>reddish, not raised, target-like, or circular spots on the torso, often with blistering in the middle, peeling, and sores in the mouth, throat, nose, genitals, and eyes.\u00a0These severe skin rashes can be preceded by fever and\u00a0flu-like symptoms\u00a0(\u00a0Stevens-Johnson syndrome\u00a0).<\/li><li>widespread rash, high body temperature, and enlarged\u00a0lymph are more common in children and adolescents than in adults.\u00a0Like other statins, a very small number of people have experienced unpleasant muscle effects and in rare cases, these have developed into a life-threatening muscle disease,\u00a0<em>rhabdomyolysis<\/em>.<\/li><li>if you get muscle strain.<\/li><li>if you get a lupus-like condition\u00a0(including skin rash, joint problems, and class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>headache<\/li><li>abdominal pain<\/li><li>constipation<\/li><li>nausea<\/li><li>muscle aches<\/li><li>impotence<\/li><li>dizziness<\/li><li>increased content of\u00a0protein\u00a0in the urine.\u00a0This usually goes back to normal without you having to stop taking Rosuvastatin Glenmark (Rosuvastatin Glenmark 40 mg only).<\/li><li>diabetes.\u00a0This is more likely if you have high blood sugar and blood fat levels, are overweight, and have high\u00a0blood pressure.\u00a0Your doctor will check you while you are taking this
