such as\u00a0ergotamine\u00a0or dihydroergotamine, or a &#8216;statin&#8217; such as\u00a0simvastatin, atorvastatin or lovastatin.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Do not take Posaconazole Mylan if any of the above apply to you.&nbsp;If you are not sure, talk to your doctor or pharmacist before taking Posaconazole Mylan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>See the section \u201cOther medicines and Posaconazole Mylan\u201d below for more information including information on other medicines that may affect Posaconazole Mylan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Warnings and cautions<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Talk to your doctor, pharmacist, or nurse before taking Posaconazole Mylan if you:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>have had an\u00a0allergic reaction\u00a0to any other antifungal medicines such as\u00a0ketoconazole,\u00a0fluconazole, itraconazole, and voriconazole.<\/li><li>have or have ever had liver problems.\u00a0You may need to take blood samples while taking this medicine.<\/li><li>develops severe diarrhea or vomiting, as these conditions may limit the effect of this medicine.<\/li><li>has an abnormal heart rhythm, on examination (\u00a0ECG\u00a0), which indicates a problem called long\u00a0QTc interval.<\/li><li>have a weakness in the heart muscle or\u00a0heart failure.<\/li><li>have very slow heartbeats.<\/li><li>have some form of heart rhythm disorder.<\/li><li>have any kind of problem with the blood levels of\u00a0potassium,\u00a0magnesium,\u00a0or\u00a0calcium.<\/li><li>take vincristine, vinblastine, or other &#8216;vinca alkaloids&#8217; such as\u00a0ergotamine\u00a0or dihydroergotamine which are used to treat\u00a0migraines.\u00a0Posaconazole Mylan can increase the amount of these drugs in the blood which can lead to greatly reduced blood flow to your fingers or toes and cause damage.<\/li><li>a &#8220;statin&#8221; such as\u00a0simvastatin, atorvastatin, or lovastatin is used to treat high\u00a0cholesterol.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Do not take Posaconazole Mylan if any of the above apply to you.&nbsp;If you are not sure, talk to your doctor or pharmacist before taking this medicine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Other drugs<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>See the list above of medicines that must not be used while you are taking Posaconazole Mylan.\u00a0In addition to the drugs mentioned above, other drugs carry a risk of arrhythmias that can be greater when taken with Posaconazole Mylan.\u00a0Tell your doctor about any medicines you take (prescription or over-the-counter).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Some medicines may increase the risk of&nbsp;side effects&nbsp;of Posaconazole Mylan by increasing the amount of Posaconazole Mylan in your blood.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The following medicines can reduce the effect of Posaconazole Mylan by reducing the amount of Posaconazole Mylan in your blood:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>rifabutin and rifampicin (used to treat certain\u00a0infections\u00a0).\u00a0If you are already being treated with rifabutin, your blood counts must be tested and certain probable\u00a0side effects\u00a0of rifabutin monitored.<\/li><li>certain medicines used to treat or prevent epileptic seizures, including\u00a0phenytoin, carbamazepine, phenobarbital, or primidone.<\/li><li>efavirenz and fosamprenavir are used to\u00a0treat\u00a0HIV\u00a0infection.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Posaconazole Mylan may increase the risk of\u00a0side effects\u00a0from certain other medicines by increasing the amount of these medicines in the blood.\u00a0These medicines include:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>vincristine, vinblastine, and other &#8220;vinca alkaloids&#8221; (used to treat cancer)<\/li><li>ciclosporin (used during or after transplant surgery)<\/li><li>tacrolimus and sirolimus (used during or after transplant surgery)<\/li><li>rifabutin (used to treat certain\u00a0infections\u00a0)<\/li><li>anti- HIV\u00a0medicines\u00a0called\u00a0protease inhibitors\u00a0(including lopinavir and atazanavir given with ritonavir)<\/li><li>midazolam, triazolam, alprazolam or other &#8216;benzodiazepines&#8217; (used to treat high blood sugar).<\/li><li>All-trans retinoic acid (ATRA), also called tretinoin (is used to treat certain types of blood cancer).<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>If any of the above apply to you (or you are not sure) talk to your doctor or pharmacist before taking Posaconazole Mylan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Pregnancy and breastfeeding<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, think you may be pregnant, or are planning to have a baby, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking this medicine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Do not take Posaconazole Mylan during pregnancy unless your doctor tells you to.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You should use effective contraception while taking this medicine if you are a woman and could become pregnant.&nbsp;Contact your doctor immediately if you become pregnant during treatment with Posaconazole Mylan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Do not breastfeed while you are being treated with Posaconazole Mylan as small amounts may pass into breast milk.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Driving and using machines<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>You may feel dizzy, drowsy, or have blurred vision when taking Posaconazole Mylan, which may affect your ability to drive or use tools and machines.\u00a0If this happens, do not drive, use tools or machines and consult your doctor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You are responsible for assessing whether you are fit to drive a motor vehicle or perform work that requires sharpened attention.\u00a0One of the factors that can affect your ability in these respects is the use of drugs due to their effects and\/or\u00a0side effects.\u00a0Descriptions of these effects and\u00a0side effects\u00a0can be found in other sections.\u00a0Read all the information in this leaflet for guidance.\u00a0If you are not sure, talk to your doctor or pharmacist.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Posaconazole Mylan contains sodium<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>This medicine contains less than 1 mmol (23 mg)&nbsp;sodium&nbsp;per tablet, ie essentially &#8216;sodium-free&#8217;.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">How to take Posaconazole Mylan<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Always take this medicine exactly as your doctor or pharmacist has told you.&nbsp;Ask your doctor or pharmacist if you are unsure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Do not switch between taking Posaconazole Mylan tablets and posaconazole\u00a0oral\u00a0suspension\u00a0without talking to a doctor or pharmacist, as this may lead to a lack of effect or an increased risk of\u00a0side effects.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Dosage<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The recommended&nbsp;dose&nbsp;is 300 mg posaconazole (three 100 mg&nbsp;enteric tablets&nbsp;) twice a day for the first day and then 300 mg posaconazole (three 100 mg&nbsp;enteric tablets&nbsp;) once a day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The length of treatment depends on the type of&nbsp;infection&nbsp;you have and can be individually tailored for you by your doctor.&nbsp;Do not change the&nbsp;dose&nbsp;or treatment schedule yourself until you have consulted your doctor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Use of this medicine<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Swallow the tablet whole with a little water.<\/li><li>Do not crush, chew, break or dissolve the tablet.<\/li><li>The tablet can be taken with or without food.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">If you take more Posaconazole Mylan than you should<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>If you have ingested too much medicine or if e.g.\u00a0If a child has inadvertently ingested the medicine, contact a doctor or hospital immediately for an assessment of the risk and advice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">If you forget to take Posaconazole Mylan<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>If you miss a\u00a0dose, take it as soon as you remember.<\/li><li>However, if it is almost time for your next\u00a0dose, skip the missed\u00a0dose\u00a0and return to your regular schedule.<\/li><li>Do not take a double\u00a0dose\u00a0to make up for a forgotten\u00a0dose.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>If you have any further questions on the use of this product, ask your doctor, pharmacist, or nurse.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Possible side effects<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Like all medicines, this medicine can cause\u00a0side effects, although not everybody gets them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Serious&nbsp;side effects&nbsp;are<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Talk to a doctor, pharmacist, or nurse immediately if you experience any of the following serious\u00a0side effects\u00a0&#8211;
