examination or procedure) of adults and children.<\/li><li>for&nbsp;sedation&nbsp;of adults and children in the intensive care unit.<\/li><li>for anesthesia of adults, alone or in combination with class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>You are over 60 years old.<\/li><li>You have a long-term illness (such as breathing problems or kidney, liver or heart problems).<\/li><li>You are weakened (have a disease that makes you feel very weak, exhausted or lack energy).<\/li><li>You have a condition called &#8220;sleep apnea syndrome&#8221; (which means that you stop breathing while you sleep), so you can be closely monitored.<\/li><li>You have&nbsp;myasthenia gravis&nbsp;(a neuromuscular disease that causes muscle weakness).<\/li><li>You regularly drink large amounts of alcohol or if you have previously had problems with alcohol use.&nbsp;Alcohol may increase the effects of Midazolam Accord and possibly lead to severe&nbsp;sedation&nbsp;which may lead to&nbsp;coma&nbsp;or death.<\/li><li>You take includes over-the-counter ones and herbal remedies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This is extremely important as concomitant use of other medicines may intensify or weaken the effects of the inhale), you must tell your doctor or dentist that you are using Midazolam Accord<strong>.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Midazolam Accord with alcohol<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Do not drink alcohol if you have been given Midazolam Accord.&nbsp;This is because alcohol can increase the&nbsp;sedative&nbsp;effect of Midazolam Accord and can cause breathing problems.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Pregnancy and breastfeeding<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Tell your doctor if you are pregnant, think you may be pregnant or are planning to have a information about some of the ingredients of Midazolam Accord<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Midazolam Accord contains less than 1 mmol (23 mg)\u00a0sodium\u00a0per\u00a0ampoule, ie essentially (&nbsp;dysarthria&nbsp;)<\/li><li>have involuntary eye movements (&nbsp;nystagmus&nbsp;)<\/li><li>develop low&nbsp;blood pressure&nbsp;(&nbsp;hypotension&nbsp;)<\/li><li>stop breathing (&nbsp;apnea&nbsp;) and suffer from cardiorespiratory depression (breathing and heartbeat become slow or stop) and&nbsp;coma&nbsp;.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Stop treatment with Midazolam Accord<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you are receiving long-term treatment with Midazolam Accord (given for a long time), you can:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Be tolerant of Midazolam Accord.&nbsp;The drug becomes less effective and does not work so well for you.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Become addicted to this drug and get withdrawal symptoms (see below).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Your doctor will reduce the&nbsp;dose&nbsp;gradually to prevent these effects from affecting you.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The following effects have been seen with the use of Midazolam Accord, especially in children and the elderly: restlessness,\u00a0agitation, irritability, involuntary movements, hyperactivity, hostility, delusion, anger, aggression, anxiety, nightmares, hallucinations (see and possibly hear things that are not there ),\u00a0psychosis\u00a0(losing touch with reality), inappropriate behavior, arousal and threats (these are also called paradoxical reactions, which are results that are contrary to the effects normally expected of the drug).\u00a0If you experience these, your doctor will consider stopping treatment with Midazolam.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Withdrawal symptoms:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Medicines&nbsp;containing benzodiazepines&nbsp;such as Midazolam Accord may make you addicted if you use it for a long time (eg in intensive care).&nbsp;This means that if you stop treatment suddenly or lower the&nbsp;dose&nbsp;too quickly, you may get withdrawal symptoms.&nbsp;These symptoms may include:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>headache, diarrhea and muscle aches<\/li><li>strong anxiety, tension, restlessness, confusion or bad mood (irritable) and sleep problems<\/li><li>mood swings<\/li><li>hallucinations (see and possibly hear things that are not there), seizures.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>In severe cases of withdrawal symptoms, the following may occur: a feeling of losing touch with reality, numbness and tingling in the\u00a0extremities\u00a0(eg hands and feet), sensitivity to light, sound, and touch.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Possible side effects<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Like all medicines, this medicine can cause\u00a0side effects, although not everybody gets them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The following&nbsp;side effects&nbsp;have been reported with this medicine (no known frequency).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Stop taking midazolam and contact your doctor immediately if you notice any of the following\u00a0side effects.\u00a0They can be life-threatening and you may need\u00a0urgent\u00a0medical attention:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Anaphylactic&nbsp;shock&nbsp;(a life-threatening&nbsp;allergic reaction&nbsp;).&nbsp;Signs may include sudden rash,&nbsp;itching&nbsp;or raised rash (nose rash) and swelling of the face, lips, tongue or other parts of the body.&nbsp;You may also have shortness of breath, wheezing or difficulty breathing.<\/li><li>Myocardial infarction (cardiac arrest).&nbsp;Signs may include chest pain that may spread to the neck and shoulders and down the left arm.<\/li><li>Respiratory problems or respiratory complications (sometimes leading to respiratory
