surround the brain.\u00a0This swelling causes headaches during a migraine attack.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What you need to know before you take Maxalt Rapitab<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>you have any of the following risk factors for heart disease: high&nbsp;blood pressure&nbsp;,&nbsp;diabetes&nbsp;, you are a smoker or use nicotine replacement therapy, there are cases of heart disease in the family, you are a man and over 40 years or you are a woman and have passed menopause<\/li><li>you have impaired kidney or liver function<\/li><li>you have a special type of heart rhythm problem (branch block)<\/li><li>you have or have had any type of&nbsp;allergy<\/li><li>your headache is associated with dizziness, difficulty walking, coordination difficulties or weakness in the arms and legs<\/li><li>you are using any herbal remedy that contains&nbsp;St. John&#8217;s wort<\/li><li>you have had an&nbsp;allergic reaction&nbsp;such as swelling of the face, lips, tongue and \/ or throat which may cause shortness of breath and \/ or difficulty swallowing (&nbsp;angioedema&nbsp;)<\/li><li>you take selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors aspartame<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>This medicine contains 1.88 mg aspartame in each 5 mg Rapitab tablet, equivalent to 1.1 mg phenylalanine.&nbsp;This medicine contains 3.75 mg aspartame in each 10 mg Rapitab tablet, equivalent to 2.1 mg phenylalanine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Aspartame is a source of phenylalanine.&nbsp;It can be harmful if you have phenylketonuria (PKU), a rare, inherited disease that leads to the accumulation of high levels of phenylalanine in your body.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">How to take Maxalt Rapitab<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Maxalt Rapitab is used to treat migraine attacks.&nbsp;Take Maxalt Rapitab as soon as possible after your migraine attack.&nbsp;Do not use it to prevent an attack.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Always take this medicine exactly as your doctor has told you.&nbsp;Ask your doctor or pharmacist if you are unsure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The usual&nbsp;dose&nbsp;is 10 mg.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you are currently using propranolol or have a renal or hepatic impairment, you should use a 5 mg\u00a0dose of\u00a0one of Maxalt Rapitab.\u00a0There should be at least two hours between taking propranolol and Maxalt Rapitab up to a maximum of 2 doses over 24 freeze-dried tablet is placed on the tongue, where it dissolves and can be swallowed together with the saliva.<\/li><li>The lyophilised tablet can be used in situations when a drink is not available, or to avoid nausea and vomiting that may occur when taking tablets with liquid.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Maxalt is also available as tablets that are swallowed with liquid.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2
